Picked up South of Broad by Pat Conroy today at the book store. I have been looking for a new book to read recently and this looks promising after a few misses during the last few months. The Southern author (born in Atlanta and raised in the Low Country marshes of South Carolina) first began writing books at the age of 25. His best include Lords of Discipline, The Great Santini and The Prince of Tides.
